The First Chillin’ with Adam Golf Outing Honoree Andrew Lamkin

Andrew Lamkin 2024 Chillin Honoree.jpg

Andrew M. Lamkin is principal and founder of the Estate Planning and Elder Law firm, Andrew M. Lamkin, P.C.

Andrew’s areas of expertise include Wills and Trusts, Estate Tax Planning, Medicaid planning, special needs planning for families with disabled children, and estate litigation, including Will Contests, Accounting procedures and fiduciary services.

Mr. Lamkin has served on the Board of the Plainview-Old Bethpage Chamber of Commerce since 2010, including four as President of the Chamber of Commerce from 2018-2022 and was honored as Small Business Person of the year in 2014 at the Nassau County Councils of Chambers of Commerce at the annual legislative breakfast.

Andrew also serves on the Plainview-old Bethpage Memorial Day Parade Committee and currently serves as Co-Chair of the committee.

In Addition to serving on the board of the Chillin w Adam Foundation and playing a vital role in the organization of the annual golf event, Andrew has personal reasons for dedicating his time to the foundation.

Andrew’s family suffered a similar tragedy/experience as the Gaynes’, having lost a brother, Peter, at the age of 7 due to leukemia. After Peter’s passing, Andrew recalls spending weekends at the Ronald McDonald House in Brookline, MA, playing games with other children undergoing treatment, while his parents were weekend caretakers of the house.

Andrew is honored to be the first honoree of the Chillin w Adam annual golf event and hopes that our combined efforts can put a smile on the face of a child or their parents during their most difficult time.

Chillin with Adam:
The Adam Gaynes Foundation

The Adam Gaynes Foundation Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to raising money for the care, comfort, happiness, education and cure of children diagnosed with brain tumors and other disabilities. The Foundation funds projects and programs at hospitals and schools that make life easier for these children with the hope of one day finding a cure. The Foundation was created to honor an 11-year old boy and hero to many, Adam Gaynes. On 8/23/04 Adam lost his life long battle to a brain tumor, but has inspired those around him with his constant laughter, smiles, & ability to truly live each day. Your generosity towards Chillin’ with Adam will make a tremendous difference and will help Adam’s strength, courage & spirit to live on!

Cold Spring Country Club

The Cold Spring golf experience is truly one of the finest that Long Island country clubs have to offer. Golfers will play this beautifully designed Seth Raynor 18 hole course which surrounds Oheka Castle. If it’s a great golf course you want, Cold Spring will deliver. Having hosted many area events and qualifiers - most recently the 2011 Met Open Qualifier - the reviews from some of the top golfers in our area have been outstanding. The course offers difficulty yet playability. As one professional said, “The condition is excellent and the playability is fantastic. You do not have a bad hole on this golf course.”
